Updates of the EU dual-use list

Tue, 10 Oct 2017 by Customs 4 Trade

On 26 September 2017 the Commission adopted the annual Delegated Regulation that updates the EU dual-use export control list in Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 428/2009.

The changes were agreed in the framework of the international non-proliferation regimes and export control arrangements. The Delegated Regulation will ensure the required updates in order to keep the EU dual-use Regulation in line with the controls decided in such regimes.

The main changes will cover dual-use information security items contained in Category 5 Part 2, a new sub-entry for for integrated circuits with analogue-to-digital converters and for MMIC transmit/receive modules in Category 3, and for certain lasers in Category 6.

If you are interested in knowing how the Delegated Regulation will impact the export classification of your dual-use items you may contact us here.
