Frequently asked questions
All your questions answered by our speakers and C4T experts!
The following difficulties were identified:
1. Customs was slow at responding. We needed to reach out to lots of different teams and it was difficult to find the right team and get the answer.
2. Invalidation is not supported from customs side at go live which caused ongoing open issues.
3. The combined A1B1 declaration which is the export + safety and security declaration requires the haulier or carrier EORI to be mentioned. This proved challenging for some of our customers to identify at the time they make their export declarations.
We have several customers using exports in DMS, and have been working hard on the migrations. At the end of June, already 75% of our customers had been migrated, and the remaining ones will go live in August due to summer holidays on their ends.
New and changed data requirements
- Traders must make a choice between the procedures they follow and how to file their declarations
- The mindset has to change when we look into globalisations, where we had the monthly globalisation period, this has now changed to a day.

With an outgoing transit, we do generate the TSAD and SAD that need to accompany the goods and they are visible directly in CAS.
