Frequently asked questions

All your questions answered by our speakers and C4T experts!

Is it possible to use both methods of duty calculation for IP?

Yes. Methods of duty calculation are stated in your IP authorisation. As long as you have requested beforehand in your authorisation that you would need to use both methods due to the specific nature of your transaction.

How long does it take to apply for a new IP authorization?

Different jurisdictions have different waiting periods, but we can say, on average, six months. In the case where you are updating your authorization, then the waiting time would be one to three months.

If C4T takes over the processing of the data to calculate the duties, who is responsible for the accuracy/correctness of the process? Is C4T responsible for the correctness of the data processing?

CAS is software that processes the information provided by customers into the desired result.

That being said, the content of your authorization, invoice and other information necessary for duty calculation integrated into CAS from the customer remains the responsibility of the customer. C4T guarantees that the information provided will be read and processed correctly afterwards.
