A platform you can trust
Cloud-native customs and excise automation built for scale, security, and reliability
CAS is designed to support high-volume customs and excise operations where speed, availability, and security are critical. CAS is cloud-native by design and delivered as a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution on Microsoft Azure. This allows you to scale customs and excise processes without managing infrastructure, while maintaining stable performance and controlled operations.
CAS delivers a proven operational track record. We commit to uptime availability of above 99.5%. The average time of submission to the customs authorities is measured in seconds per declaration, helping you meet strict customs deadlines and reduce manual work. Moreover, our customers see their customs declaration filing processes being automated by more than 96%, depending on country and process setup.

Secure environments with zero risk testing
CAS is delivered as a secure cloud service where every customer gets access to two separate environments. Acceptance lets you configure, connect, and test safely. Production runs your live customs operations. This setup lets you test every change first, with zero risk to live declarations. What you test is exactly what you’ll run later, so there are no surprises after go-live.
Consistent performance during peak volumes
The platform automatically adjusts to changing volumes. During peak periods, CAS continues processing declarations at consistent speed. You do not need to plan capacity or manage spikes caused by seasonal trade or regulatory deadlines. Built-in usage controls ensure fair performance for all customers, so your operations remain stable and predictable.
Business continuity you can rely on
Customs4trade implements Business Continuity to ensure service continuity of our technology as well as the people and processes behind it. The business impact analysis (BIA) is the foundation of building effective continuity strategies for our business-critical business services by identifying points of failure and dependencies holistically and across departments.
CAS is built with resilience and high availability in mind. CAS is hosted on Azure West Europe supported by Azure platform resiliency and a layered backup approach. In the unlikely event of disaster, a disaster recovery plan is in place to relocate CAS to another Azure Region. The disaster recovery plan is tested at least annually.
Planned maintenance takes place every two weeks and is designed with almost no downtime, so impact on your operations stays minimal.
Straightforward ERP integration
CAS provides one unified API, allowing you to easily connect your ERP or warehouse management system to clearly defined API endpoints for all of CAS functionality. Clear and maintained API documentation supports fast implementation and long-term stability.
One platform for all countries
CAS connects your ERP and other systems to a single platform. You use one API across multiple countries, with dedicated endpoints. This avoids country-specific integrations and reduces maintenance effort. You build and test once, then reuse the same connection as you expand to new countries. This approach simplifies rollout, lowers integration risk, and keeps your landscape easier to manage over time.
