Each country has its own sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) systems and processes for the import of agrifood products. Ensure your consignments pass through customs without delay.
Sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures are designed to protect the health of human, animal, and plant life, and are therefore strictly controlled by customs authorities. Documentary and physical checks are often required by border control and consignments that do not comply with the measures agreed upon between countries may be delayed or turned away. Don’t take that risk—have C4T manage your health entry documents for you.
As SPS portals do not presently support technology integration, relying on C4T’s MCS team to ensure that the appropriate documentation is generated will expedite the process.
One missing document can hold up an entire shipment. C4T MCS validates documentation and notifies your team if anything needs to be generated on your end.
C4T’s experts know what is required by law for any country of import and can ensure the appropriate boxes are ticked before the consignment reaches the border.

Imports of plants, plant products, food, and animal products require documentation that must be provided by the exporter and generated by the importer. The C4T MCS team can support:
Obtaining Common Health Entry Documents (CHEDs)
TRACES NT
Country-specific agrifood portals, e.g., IPAFFS and DAFM
Attaching required documentation to declarations
The UK will continue to introduce new border controls that apply to agrifood products through mid 2022. The C4T MCS team will make sure you are prepared by:
Notifying your customs team of upcoming deadlines
Presenting risk factors and a gap analysis for compliance
Supporting the establishment of processes so your shipments will be compliant before new regulatory requirements take effect
Let experts stay on top of SPS requirements so your goods pass through customs without delay.
